Have you ever heard the saying, "Bloom where you are planted"? For years, this was my mantra. I believed in making the most of what we had and finding a way to thrive. But after going through two layoffs in less than two years, I began to question if where I was planted was the best place for me to truly bloom. The saying that had always inspired me now made me feel stuck and out of control in my environment.
As a Gallup Strengths coach, I know we all have an innate set of talents that, when used intentionally, can lead to a happier, more fulfilling, and successful life. I realized I needed to reframe my situation and use the power of positive psychology to transform my world and break free from feeling stuck. This led me to shift my mantra from "Bloom where you are planted" to "Plant yourself where you will flourish."
This change marked the beginning of my journey to create a world where I could truly flourish. It also inspired me to launch Learning Karma, a business dedicated to sharing the power of positive psychology with others.
